Envisioning Tomorrow's Research

The increasing synergy between healthcare and machine learning technologies. Understanding how big data is revolutionizing the business world. The relationship between environmental sustainability and the financial markets. These are just a few of many interdisciplinary realms that are increasingly working in concert in the 21st century麻豆传媒攕omething that Pace faculty is committed to exploring through research and scholarship, while preparing students for the challenges ahead.

On April 7, Pace麻豆传媒檚 Office of Research and Graduate Education invites you to The Future of Pace, an interdisciplinary online conference featuring panel discussions and faculty research presentations, as well as a keynote address by Dan Porterfield, president and CEO of the Aspen Institute, a global nonprofit organization committed to realizing a free, just, and equitable society.

The primary goal of the conference is to bring together faculty to help Pace address its future needs through scholarship and academic programs. The conference also hopes to encourage greater interdisciplinary cooperation among faculty with overlapping interests and use Pace麻豆传媒檚 Strategic Plan as a guideline to help foster innovative scholarship.

麻豆传媒淭he new Strategic Plan has identified four areas of academic opportunity麻豆传媒攖echnology and business, health, wellness, and sciences, sustainability and justice, and arts, humanities麻豆传媒攆or our faculty to develop new scholarly programs," said Associate Provost for Research Avrom Caplan, PhD. "The conference is arranged around those themes with the goal of getting faculty to talk about their work among their peers.麻豆传媒

Faculty and Staff

Professor Margot Pollans joined the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 麻豆传媒 faculty in 2015. She is the Faculty Director of the Pace Food Law Center, the Joseph P. D麻豆传媒橝lessandro Faculty Scholar, and also served as the James D. Hopkins Professor of Law for the 2023麻豆传媒2025 academic years. Previously, she served as the Shamik and Adrienne Trivedi Faculty Scholar from 2020麻豆传媒2022. During her time at the Law School, she has been a leader in building the national reputation of the Pace Food Law Center. Professor Pollans is an accomplished scholar whose primary research interests lie in the areas of food and agriculture law, environmental law, administrative law, and social justice and her academic work has appeared in a variety of prestigious journals.

Research and Scholarship

Over the course of three days, the Environmental Law Collaborative (ELC) convened in Briarcliff Manor, New York to discuss 麻豆传媒淏lue Sky Thinking in a Red Sky World.麻豆传媒 The ELC comprises a rotating group of law professors who assemble every other year to think, discuss, and write on an important and intriguing theme in environmental law. This year, the group focused on how to think optimistically and proactively about environmental protection when so much is going so quickly in the opposite direction.
