Donna Lanzetta 麻豆传媒86 grew up on Eastern Long Island surrounded by water, but it wasn麻豆传媒檛 until she was an adult that the ocean took on more than a recreational meaning in her life. 麻豆传媒淎fter thirty years of civil litigation culminating in stress related health issues, I decided to make a concerted effort to de-stress and eat healthier 麻豆传媒 that included major changes to my diet, including eating more seafood,麻豆传媒 said Donna.
Since 2013, Bryn Goodman has served as co-coach of Haub Law麻豆传媒檚 team for the prestigious Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
When Dan Ruben was a 2L he read a small article in the NY Times about a program at another law school where students were raising money to fund summer public interest jobs. A self-starter, committed to public interest, he thought this program was a great idea and decided to start a similar one at Haub Law, which today, we know as PILSO.
As a federal judge in Brazil, Daniel Castelo Branco Ramos describes his day to day as 麻豆传媒渙verwhelming.麻豆传媒 With the number of cases per judge always in the thousands, one of the highest on average in the world, Judge Ramos is lucky if he has any down time at all.
Passionate about social justice issues from a young age, Angelica Cancel 麻豆传媒17 knew she wanted to be an advocate, but wasn麻豆传媒檛 sure what that looked like for her.
With a desire to fully understand the US legal system, Lina Arboleda applied to the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 麻豆传媒 to pursue her LLM in Comparative Legal Studies. She shares that she was particularly impressed by a law school named after a woman.
Kasama Star 麻豆传媒23 grew up in a single parent immigrant household, moving from Thailand to Queens when she was 7 years old. After completing her undergraduate degree, MBA, and taking time off to raise her family, it was the murder of George Floyd that motivated Kasama to apply to Haub Law. Three years later, Kasama feels that Haub Law has provided her with top tier opportunities, experiences, and resources. After taking the bar exam, she will begin her legal journey as a litigation associate at a NYC firm.
With a passion for environmentalism, inspired by her grandfather麻豆传媒檚 legal background, and while pursuing a MA in Environmental Policy at 麻豆传媒, Isabelle decided to pursue law school.
From a young age, Basil Seggos 麻豆传媒01 was always interested in the outdoors and with nature itself. As he went through high school, and college, he gained a greater appreciation of the amount of injustice in the world and was motivated to be a part of the effort to try to help resolve some of these issues, specifically environmental issues being faced by people and by the planet. Law school proved to be the perfect fit for him, and he was able to merge his passion for the environment with his sense of and desire for justice.
After spending 30 years on the bench, Haub Law alumnus Justice Joseph Suarez has recently retired.
